Can iBooks run on iPhone 3G?

Can iBooks run on iPhone 3G?

Does anyone know if iBooks is compatible with iPhone 3G? I installed iBooks on my 3G, and although I can open the app, it is entirely unusable. The lag is so horrendous that any tap would have a response time ranging from 20 seconds to a whole minute, and sometimes completely freezes. Yes I have restarted my phone prior to using it, and I only have SIX books in iBooks, so that's not a lot and shouldn't cause any problems.

iBooks is rated by Apple as 3G compatible. Have you tried deleting the app through itunes then adding back to your phone?

Here is how I got iBooks:
- Downloaded iBooks but didn't install on my phone yet
- Have another iPad that -already has iBooks on it-
- Connected that iPad to this laptop with iBooks in its app library
- Synced apps with this laptop (but didn't cause apps on iPad to get deleted for some reason) for the iPad, but -did- erase all the books it had before in iBooks and replaced with this laptop's iBooks library
- Synced my phone, which installed iBooks and other new apps

I've been using iBooks on my 3G and iPad. The 3G is a little slow to start but page turning is fine.

I wouldn't mind a slow startup (most new apps run slow on 3G anyways, these things go obsolete quicker than supermarket sales), but when it freezes for half a minute at a time it's unacceptable.

Doesn't freeze on mine either. You might want to try Restoring you iPhone as new (you will lose any data in apps) and then manually syncing all of your apps.

iBooks is very slow but usable on my iPhone 3G. I just timed mine and going from the home screen back into iBooks it takes 22 seconds to get back to the page I was reading.

From within iBooks opening a large PDF or a book takes 10+ seconds.

iOS 4 in general seems slow on my 3G. I have rebooted multiple times and cleared all settings.
