Removing a payment card

I can’t remove an old credit card from my iPhone as it asks for the CVV code which we don’t have anymore

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 12

What happens if you add the new card THEN delete the old one?

If the issue still persists, contact iTunes Store and explain your problem, filling out and sending them this form: iTunes Store – Contact Us – Apple Support

No I can’t add the new card because it wants me to verify the old one that no one is using
