Rid of Salt Particles and Fingerprints on my MBP Screen

I notice there are salt particles here-and-there on my non-retina MacBook Pro’s screen. The same goes hot what looks like fingerprints. The screen is not wet, but it is dry.

How do I clean all? Wiping off the salt particles with a cleaning cloth it will scratch it. Moistening it, I assume, will blend it with the screen, as a result of it “melting” away, I guess you’d put it.

Taping the salt with a microfiber cloth: Would that do the job?

Using moistened screen cleaning cloths for the fingerprints: Would that do the job?

I’d suggest keeping the device away from any salt or other “particles”. How does one get salt to stick on what is essentially a vertical surface?

using a slightly damp cloth will take care of the smudges on the screen - do not let any moisture get inside a seam. I clean mine at least once a week, so it is never that dirty.

A fan on the table blew it over. So happens, my cat bumped into it from afar. I was eating potato chips that were sitting there from last night. My cat moved the fan in the totally wrong direction, dude! Thanks a lot Mittens!

I actually never clean mine weekly. Sounds like a plan!

The Mac is fine now, but I've used canned air in the past, on different devices, and it's "liquid-ish". So, I'd rather stay away from that, on this Mac.

Searching in [logo].com, I see a "clean swiffer-type duster" in yellow packing. Would using one of those to manage an electronic-item create sparks? Looking at reviews, people seem to use it on computers, with success.
