Is it true that when there is no label on a box with information about keyboard layout sth like QWERTZ, then the device has a “normal” keyboard layout?

There's no "normal" layout. You can see the various kinds of keyboards Apple provides here:

The model number might help.
D normally indicates a German QWERTZ keyboard.
