Text messages appearing hours after they were sent

Since the last update, I have been having problems with texts not showing up until hours after they were sent. Example: text was sent at 9:28 last night. It wasn’t there at 2am this morning. At 9 this morning it is there with a time stamp from last night at 9:28. This is happening with multiple senders - not just one. Looked through all the settings and everything seems good. Restarted phone and still the issue continues. Is this happening to anyone else? Thoughts?
