So I’ve searched everywhere and I keep hitting dead ends but i forgot my old iPhones 4 digit code and I only have 1 attempt left apparently.

i have or can provide any proof that this is my old iPhone with the contents if needed.

only issue is I need certain contents of the phone from the old backup on this phone.

i can’t reset it because my only other backup is new without the information on my old phone.

please tell me there is a way to retrieve the data from this iPhone or even save the backup to use on my new iPhone?

i know the Apple ID on it, phone numbers, I’m even in photos.

it is extremely important.

The passcode for the phone is nowhere but on the device.

if you cannot remember it, there is no place to recover it from.

Your only option is to wipe the device.

”Remove your passcode

If you backed up your device, you can restore your data and settings after restoring your device. If you never backed up your device before you forgot your passcode, you won't be able to save the data on your device. “

To reset the screen lock passcode there is only one solution - restore it in iTunes, which will erase it. If you have a backup in iTunes or iCloud for that device, you can then restore that backup. If you don’t have a backup for it in iTunes or iCloud, then yes, your going to loose that data. There’s no way around that. The only mechanism to reset the device’s screen lock passcode is to erase it - that is deliberately by design with iOS.
