Hi, I just bought a MBP TB 2016 512GB a few weeks back. I notice that once I power on the cycle count is 4. isn't a new MBP should be 0? and another odd thing is the cycle count increase even I did not charge the MBP. My MBP have been in Sleep for 5 days without charging. I was on holiday so did not bring or open my Mac to use. I didn't recall the same issue on my MacBook Retina 12 inch.

In MBPs we've bought and others I maintain for friends--all bought new directly from Apple--the cycle count has ranged from 1 to 4. None have ever showed a count of zero. I believe this to be a non-problem but, should you wish to pursue it farther, make a Genius Bar appointment and have Apple look at it.
