imovie causing kanel panic to my mac book pro 2010

Every time I open imovie to work on my mac get a panic, i have tried all reboot system to no avail, any help ? thanks

Did you try booting up in Safe Mode? If not, try that. Here's a link that shows how to boot up in

Safe Mode:

After booting up in Safe Mode, wait until everything loads and then immediately shut down your computer and boot up in normal mode by starting up your computer. Now see if you can open iMovie without a kernel panic.
