How do I retrieve my old messages from my other iPhone?

it depends on your access to the older phone and in what format you need them in
If you still have access to the old device:
- if you need the actual messages in the messages app:
restore from a backup of that device onto your current phone
- if you just need the conversation, (so like a screen shot or images of it but not the actual thread in the app)
go into the old phone, screenshot the messages and send them to your current phone (airdrop, email, what have you)
