Very quick question before i spend ages scrolling through an iMessage thread (about 15-20 messages a day on average)
Im trying to view iMessages from my partner from last August time to find out a date she may have text me something, i know i can spend ages scrolling up but before i do that - is there a quicker way that i don't know of ?

You can try searching if you think the text might have fairly unique words. If you don't see the search box at the top of Messages, pull down on the screen.

Sadly, I can't help you with that one.
My personal solution to this problem is to archive my messages using an application called PhoneView (Mac). I can archive them as either text or pdf files, both of which are easily searchable. I would note that the application is not free. If you have a Windows computer, TouchCopy is a similar option.
