Contacts syncing on 2 iPhones but only want them on 1 device

My wife’s contacts are also syncing across to my iPhone. She shares the same iCloud account as me, but how do I disable seeing her contacts?

Wife and my contacts are synched My wife's contacts from her iPhone keep showing up on my iPhone, when I remove them from my phone they also are removed from my wife's. We both have separate Apple ID's and use them to log onto iCloud. In iCloud settings Contacts is toggled off on both our phones, I also have an iMac and contacts do not sync between my iPhone and the Mac. I've read through most of the discussions and haven't been able to resolve the issue (most say to use different Apple ID's for iCloud and iTunes which we already do). I've also turned off family sharing and that hasn't worked either. Any ideas? Thanks.

restrict access to contacts on my second ipad I have 2 ipads on one apple id but can I disable contacts on one of them that I lend to play music from but don't want that user to be able to view my contacts. They won't have emails or access to passwords either.

Contacts syncing to Ipad from other persons phone We bought a new Ipad, and when setting it up it is showing all my contacts, but also my daughter's contacts. We have tried to fix it and think it is something to do with Icloud, but even with Icloud off it still shows both sets of contacts. How do we disable daughter's contacts and details off Ipad, but keep mine?

One or both of you would need to turn off Settings < [username] > iCloud > Contacts on your phone.

The better option (although potentially painful in the transition) would be to stop sharing Apple IDs. You can do that and still share purchases via Family Sharing: Family Sharing - Apple Support
