Is this a new scam? I just received a phone call showing "Apple" as the caller but with an unknown number. The recorded message said that my payment card had been compromised and to press 1 to speak to an agent.
I did not speak to the agent but am concerned since this is the first call that actually shows "Apple" as the Caller ID.
Has anyone else had this experience recently?
Caller IDs can be easily spoofed.

Sadly, it's not new. It's been going on for years.
Thank you to those who replied. I had warned my elderly parents about phishing and scams but had never had any direct personal experience..

Yup.
It sounds to me like a new scam. I’m pretty sure if Apple had any correspondence with you they would do it through email. It’s hard to trust anything anymore LOL
