Apple stopped engraving the IMEI on the back of the phones about the iPhone 6S/6S+.

Yes. It's normal.
Yes, Apple only used to engrave the Serial Number on the back of a device (they no longer do this) if you need your IMEI Number, you can find it in settings.
Settings > General > About
Scroll down and you will find it.
