back up iPhone manually
I am trying to back up my iPhone manually to my computer and following all the recommended steps. But the blue loading bar doesn't show up after selected manual back up.

I had blocked the iPhone, but realised after some research that I had to update my Mac.
due to a very slow wifi connection in remote country the Mac had advised me the update was done automatically but hadn't actually proceed completely.
