Using my external music clips in Final Cut: It's simpler just to drag & drop from finder. True/False?

This seems to be my ongoing experience, especially since Ver 10.2 or whatever, when the workspace was radically overhauled. I used to have Jam pack loops, foley, 3rd party music clips on an external drive and could configure content to show up within the Final Cut media browser. It all disappeared with the update. Never found a way to configure since but thought I'd give it one last shot. A minor irritation - drag and dropping audio clips from within Finder to the timeline works well enough. Any takers?

Go to Library>Audio>AppleLoops>Apple>Final Cut Pro Sound Effects>:

Drag other folders into here so they are in the FCP Sound Effects along with the other FCP SE folders like Ambience, Animals, Explosions etc.

They should appear in the FCP X audio section of the Browser.
