Looking for guidelines for using Apple ID in MacBook those are used by employees in a organization.

Hello, in my company there are around 40 MacBook Pro those are using by different team. Here, usually all employees are using their personal apple id to use app store/iTunes. Want to know, in this current practice is there any risk involves if any employee resign from his/her job and return back MacBook to IT Support team and support team will reassign the asset to another employee? What is the risk if any employee register his official MacBook with their personal apple ID? Any chance to lock the office MacBook after separation from job with his/her apple ID?

Kindly let me know what is the best practice to manage this.

Yes and no.

They could lock their MacBook with a firmware password that prevents booting the device. If you have the original bill of sale, an Apple store or AASP can remove the firmware password for you.

They could encrypt the hard drive with a password that would prevent you from accessing the data. This can be removed as well by erasing the hard drive.

You may want to get some Apple advice on this.
