Photos not synching from iTunes on Mac to iPad
Relieved to see from previous posts that this is a known problem: thought it might just be me doing something wrong.
When you click on Synch Photos in iTunes the default source folder on the Mac is Pictures, but this claims only to contain 1 photo in my case, which is an odd one that is not in the Photos library. The Photos library folder itself is greyed out and cannot be selected for unpacking.
A temporary solution I found is this: access and unpack the Photos libary from Finder and copy one of the subfolders, eg Masters, somewhere else (in my case to an external MicroSSD card). Then you can select this folder as the source for for the Sync operation, and that works OK.
But it's a fiddle.
I trust the problem will be solved, in passing as it were, in the forthcoming death of iTunes and its rebirth as three separate apps.
