Uber Driver app and Apple CarPlay compatibility

Reasking an old question to get updated replies: In my experience, the Uber App itself is not directly compatible with CarPlay.

However Waze can be set as Nav in Uber App and it will show up in the large screen with turn by turn directions on the iPhone (and possibly Google Maps, too).

When Waze is the chosen Nav app, my satellite radio remains active, but when Uber Nav is selected (for Uber Pool rides, whenever Uber Nav speaks, my radio goes off and I must do a 3-button quick push on my steering wheel to get it back - A PITA!

Any other input?
