Boot camp Drivers Won’t Install

I’m running boot camp with Windows 10 on my 2018 Mac mini. For a while I was stumped because every time I would switch to Windows my monitor would go blank, finally figured out it’s the drivers and that my monitor doesn’t work without them, so I had to use a different monitor.

I got the drivers from Boot Camp Assistant and put them on a USB drive, but every time I start the installer in Windows it either gives me a big red “X” for an error or is just stuck at “Enumerating Pre-Install Packages.”

I have tried everything I can think of, and even everything from every other support thread I can find, but nothing seems to work. I can’t install any of the drivers, even if I go through the individual installers, such as the intel chip one, they all fail and give an error. I have even reinstalled Windows with 1709 rather than using the 1803 or 1809 versions.

I also tried to instal the AMD Drivers for my eGPU but that installer is also getting stuck.

Anyone Have any advise or fixes?

I tried a USB 2 flash drive, used the guide you sent in the link.

The installer got stuck on “Enumerating Pre-Install Packages” for about 2 minutes and then gave me the red “x” error again. Once I click “OK” on the error it comes up with command line running diskpart.exe, if I close out of that then the installer goes to the end and says it finished installation and needs to reset the computer. But it didn’t actually install any drivers.
