Question regarding fast charging for the iPad Pro 2 and iPhone XS Max

I would like to be able to fast charge my iPhone XS Max because it takes forever to charge it with the charger it came with. From my understanding I should be able to use my MacBook Pro’s charger? It uses a 61W USB C Power Adapter.

My questions are whether it is possible to use it to also charge an iPad Pro 2 with and does it affect the health of the battery?

I once read somewhere that using the fast charging method can age a battery much faster.

thank you

iPhone XS Max, iOS 12

The charger can be used with the iPad and iPhone, and no it will not harm the battery in any way.

You will need a USB-C to Lightning adapter or cable since the iPad and the iPhone have lightning ports, not USB-C ports.
