Ipad code

I forgot my log in code so tried to follow the instructions on how to unlock the device however when I plug it to my iTunes it states that because is locked it can't connect so can't select the restore option.

What do I do please?

Old iPad 2 and is not connecting in recovery mode I forgot the code and cannot unlock it with instructions provided by apple. It says to connect to itunes now and that it is disabled. iPad 5th gen restore help, please (iTunes isn't cutting it) I have an iPad 5th gen, I forgot the unlock code and have tried multiple times to restore it from iTunes, yet it still will not reset. Help! Anyone have any ideas besides taking in to be reset?
