Use iMac as a 2nd monitor to a non apple laptop
I have a 2015 27" 5K Retina iMac, could I use a laptop other than apple brand to extend monitor display to my iMac? I would like to use my iMac as 2nd screen to my laptop.
It will not work, please reference https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204592 . Your best bet as dialabrain mentioned is getting an external monitor for your non-Mac laptop.
