iPhone 5 set up mistake

Attempting to set up a old iPhone 5 for my grandson to use in the house for internet and music. It was a gift from a relative that appeared to be ready asking to declare language, Apple Id etc. I made it completely through the set up but it won't let me use the 4 digit pass code that I thought I had entered to unlock the phone.

Is there a way to start over?
