so I have changed a large number of mp3 file song names in iTunes and I would like to update the origional mp3 files with the new names so I can put them on a usb but when I drag the files onto my usb from my iTunes playlist they load as the old mp3 file name. Is there a way to update the mp3 files to the iTunes names without individually renaming the files in finder as well? thanks.

Under iTunes > Preferences > Advanced there is an option that reads "Keep iTunes Media folder organized". If enabled this will let iTunes rename your files and folders in response to changes in metadata, but only for content within the media folder. If you've added content in a way that leaves it connected to the library but outside the media folder, e.g. on your desktop or some other folder, then you can consolidate the library (File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Files) to make fresh copies inside the media folder that will better reflect the tag information.
