Mac won’t run Diagnostic
The option+D nor the D key won’t run the Diagnostic on my mid 2010 Mac.

Here is the instruction: How to use Apple Hardware Test on your Mac - Apple Support
Seems that you have old system on your Mac (like 10.7 or 10.6). Please note, that if you're using OS X Lion v10.7 or earlier and you can't get Apple Hardware Test to start, see if you have an OS X installation disc named “Applications Install Disc 2.” Insert the disc in your internal optical drive or external Apple SuperDrive before following the steps, described in the above-mentioned article.
