Phone call on Mac triggered YouTube to auto play

I have been receiving phone calls on my Mac with no issue but in the past week, whenever there is a phone call, the YouTube video on my Chrome browser starts to auto play. This happened even the video I was watching was either stopped or paused when the call came in. Is this a bug or is there some setting I missed?

Whats app makes the hang up noise randomly when I am not in a call Recently my whatsapp has been hanging up randomly to non existent calls. I could be watching tv and suddenly hear the whatsapp hang up sound, it happens often. I find it very odd and I’m scared I might be hacked or something like that. Whenever I video call someone it also makes the hang up noise twice. I don’t see any reason as to why I’d be hacked but I want to know why it happens. Ty! I am using an iphone 8 with ios 14.0 (I previously asked this question but accidentally pressed solved so it was never followed up)

Unable to receive google duo calls and missing notification in my XR when i receive google duo call after selecting on google duo option it redirects me to duo home page but ends my call or keep my call running background but no video gets start to record also missing there’s missing notifications of duo which I see in call log directly. Can anybody help me with this.

Answering phone calls Why when I tap my green button to answer a phone call on i-phone does the opposite happen and the call is terminated. I always have to call back! This is now an emergency as I have apple support phoning at 9 45 as Safari on my Mac is now now crashing on opening too. I need to work remotely today so all very frustrating. Was trying solutions till early hours this morning for Mac. Re telephone it never seems to work. I’ve tried both tapping and swiping. Can any kind and clever person help? Thanks! Pippa

If it happens in Chrome but not Safari or Firefox, then it seems to be a problem that Google may have to solve.

Thanks DrakeUnicorn. Looks like plenty of people having the same issue. I use GSuite and hangouts all the time which works best on Chrome so Safari not a good option for me. Let's hope Google will resolve soon!

I have the same problem. It was supper creepy when it first happened. Then I found a pattern... I think it is a bug.

Hi DrakeUnicorn. I have exactly the same issue using my iMac running Mojave. It is getting quite annoying to be honest. Any answers from Apple yet?

Turned out it was not just YouTube videos. This problem happens to any videos that were paused...

I just tested it on Safari and it didn't auto play when a call came in, so it is a problem with Google then. Yikes!
