Strange holidays on calendar (ios)

I am recently seeing strange holidays that I had never heard of before on my notification screen. I want to keep the clutter in notifications down to a minimum. Certain holidays are fine, but not holidays that are not “officially“ recognized in the US and mean nothing to me. Is there a way to select which holidays are displayed? If not, I just want to turn all holidays off completely. Thanks.
