AirDrop ID

For some reason my airdrop identifier comes up on other people’s device as my sons device name rather than my device name. We use separate Apple ID’s so I’m at a complete loss. Any suggestions would be great.

Airdrop identifies a device with the name you have provided to a device or the name you have stored under the Contact list

To change your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch name, do this:

  • Tap Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap About
  • tap Name

How to change the name of your Mac

  1. In the Menu bar, go to  > System Preferences…
  2. Click on Sharing.
  3. In the Mac Name box, type in the name you want to use for your Mac.
  4. Close the window, and you're done

If the conflict still exists...

Then please check the nick name that your have provided Under Contacts.
