I purchased a new Mac several months ago and the wireless keyboard isn’t working. I need to change the battery but can’t figure out where the battery is. I’ve searched YouTube and the only videos I see say to remove the screw on the side of the keyboard. I don’t have any screws on the side of my keyboard. The keyboard is very thin and I don’t see any screws anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

The battery isn't replaceable on recent keyboards. Try recharging it with a phone or iPad charger. If it still doesn't work, have Apple replace it. It's covered by the Macs warranty.

Hopefully you caught it before the batteries are dead because you will need to re-pair it once you have fresh batteries in it. In that case, make sure you are signed in already (since you'd need the keyboard to do that).
The current keyboards ship with a "lighning" cable like the ones used by iPhones and iPads. You don't need a charger. Simply connecting the small end of the cable to the keyboard's Lightning port and the large end to a USB port on your iMac will start the charging process.
Also make sure the keyboard is turned on once it is charged.
