Facing internet issue for dual sim iPhone XR when one of the carrier is out of service

I’m having iPhone XR with dual physical SIM cards. Both of my lines are active and have cellular plan. When one of my carrier is having service outage due to some blind spot in the building or subway, I’m unable to use internet although my another line is still on full bar signal with 4G network.

I would need to turn off the that line in the setting -> cellular -> cellular plans -> toggle off “turn on this line”. Then I’m able to use internet without any issue at all.

Is anyone facing the same issue as mine?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand you have some concerns about how cellular data is working with your Dual SIM iPhone. I’ll be happy to help.

From the pics you provided, it looks like you have your Personal line set to use Cellular Data. Only one number at a time can use cellular data and I wanted to make sure the Personal line is the one that you want to use while in these blind spots. If not, you would need to change which number uses cellular data and this would be expected behavior. You can read more about this here:

Hi jameson.h, thanks for reading up my post. And yeah, I do have my Personal line set to use Cellular Data. It has been set as primary cellular data all the while.

The Personal line was remained as the primary data as shown in the first pic and it’s still under 4G coverage when the Business line remains in service outage. From there onwards, I’m started to have internet issue as shown in pic 2 and 3. Immediately I went into the setting and turned off the Business line then everything back to normal.

But if I’m going to turn on back the Business line while I’m still at the same dead spot, the Business line will still show out of service then my internet collapsed again.
