text clips on timeline bombs FCO out

Somebody reported the same problem with FCP where the rext clips after pulling it onto the timeline causes FCP to shutdown .where can I locate this question with the possible solution of this problem ?

Frozen clip in the timeline! I work with 10.6 and didn't have this problem before. When skimming in the timeline some of the clips are frozen. When I share the project the clip is also frozen. When only skimming over the clip it doesn't freeze. If I hide the text on top of the clip it also doesn't freeze. Does anyone have the same problem and what can I doe about it? Thanks for your help. Glitch: Timeline items not lining up Hi everyone, In FCPX, I frequently have timeline items that are one frame "longer" than they appear visually on the magnetic timeline. Or, in other words, when the two items line up visually (see image 1), the photo (top item in the magnetic timeline) extends past the white background (lower item) and spills onto the next frame of A-Roll. But when I trim the photo by one frame (see image 2), the last frame of the photo now ends with the last frame of the white background. If you look at image 3, even though the items are not visually lined up on the timeline, the "+00:00" shows that the top item is not longer than the bottom. Image 1. Image 2. Image 3. It's endurable, but unbelievably irritating in the long run. If someone knows how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you! -X

Images disappear and then reappear Bit of an odd one I think. Never had this problem before. So during playback of a video on the timeline it plays fine, but when I move the curser along it disappears briefly and then comes back. And same when I export the file. Any help would be fab. Cheers

First, delete preferences, and repeat the procedure any time there is a crash.

Second, check in Font Book for any corrupt fonts. Open Font Book, select all the fonts, and do File->Validate Fonts.
