you should be able to connect it as any other monitor with a hdmi port it's transparent for the macbook if it's a monitor or a projector it just see a hdmi interface

depending on the year of the macbook you can get

thunderbolt1/2->hdmi converter

or thunderbolt 3->hdmi converter

What is your exact model? MBP from 2012 to 2015 have an HDMI port, so all you need is an HDMI cable.

For other models, you will need an adapter.
