I now have both my Apple 27" LED Cinema Displays hooked up to my M1 mini.

If you want to hook up to USB-C, the adapter linked below works great.

If you want to hook up to HDMI, you need to buy two adapters - one from HDMI to DisplayPort and another from DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort. I've tried a direct HDMI to Mini DisplayPort and it didn't work.

Works great. Love the M1.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for this solution. I don't know how many searches I ran and threads I dug thru before I found this one. I got the suggested adapters today and now have both of my 27" Apple displays running on my M1 mini. The thunderbolt was easy with the Apple thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 and has been working without issue while I searched for a solution for my 27" Apple with Mini DisplayPort . Now with the mini Mini DisplayPort > DisplayPort and DisplayPort > HDMI I have my second monitor up and running.
