Can you transfer an Apple Music Subscription from one phone to another?

Hello world! My Mom has just bought a brand new iPhone XR. We are very excited to let her start using it! However, her Apple Music subscription is not showing up on her payments. This is really confusing, but it gets worse as we go. Now we have noticed that any purchases made in the last 90 days are not showing up on her new phone. Her old phone is an iPhone 7 Plus. Is this a problem with Apple or is it a simple user error that we just keep on making?

P.S.- Is it possible to transfer any purchases such as subscriptions to a new Apple device from an old apple device?

She might just need to make sure she’s signed into her Apple ID in settings

have her perform these steps on her new phone:

Turn iCloud Music Library off, then on again

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

    1. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it off.
    2. Close Settings.
    3. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it on.
    4. Turn on “Show Apple Music

If the Apple Musicstill won’t load:

  1. in settings- iTunes App Store - your name - sign out- then sign back  in - you will need to turn iCloud music library back on again.
