Why would I buy Iphone 512 memory vs 256 memory?

Thanks for the answer. I am a moderate user. I ain't no spring chicken...I am 70. I don't go out and buy things "just because..."

I am looking for the I phone as it allows me to use my hearing aids to receive the telephone call, although I will still use the phone microphone.

Although I fly airplanes (for fun) I really don't need it for advanced GPS/cockpit use. so what real advantage is it that there in the increased storage....for videos? or photographs ?

Is storage only a filing systems .... vs memory which is for active use running programs ?

And how necessary is the increase... (I will not be using it to play video games) John In Baltimore

Elitegate Ah thanks after stedman1 reminded me that storage is storage and that you advised that videos just suck up that memory...

I can remember when we got our first real computer back in hmmm 1990? that it had a whopping 2 megs of memory ( right megs not gigs) back in the days of using DOS.

I'll probably wind up in the category of : "But most users " I was just concerned that I would be buying "enough" for middle of the road person. I will be using GPS and probably ( after all why would they offer 3 options?) I don't think that i will be doing any Hollywood movie production , maybe some flying video , or SAAB or Honda Goldwing motorcycle stuff.

And I still read printed books, with hard covers!

And I am sure I will transfer most of the stuff to a home computer..

More money than I spent on my 2000 SAAB 9.3 convertible or my 2002 SAAB 9.3 convertible. each at $850 ! USD.
