Cracked screen virus?

Hello,

Last night I was browsing my usual social media on my MacBook Pro. I didn’t go on any unusual websites or click any downloads and eventually closed it (without putting it on sleep or shutting down).

This afternoon I opened it up to see a small crack (see pictures) with some pixelation surrounding. I was horrified but felt the screen and it is definitely not actually cracked, so I turned it off, and the crack disappeared. I turned it back on and the crack remains.

I cannot turn the MacBook on at all. No matter how many times I restart and try every command and plug it in and every single option under the sun, the crack remains. It’s still alive - the Touch Bar displays and escape option when I try the force quit command but nothing happens when I press it. I can only assume it has a virus.

Has anyone heard of this? Is there anything I can do? Will I have to take it to an Apple shop? Thank you in advance.

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14
