Hi. I had my cracked iPhone SE screen replaced by a local fix-it shop. All works perfectly, except the auto-brightness does not work. This seems to be a known issue. Does anyone know of a fix?

Take it back to your local repairer and show them your problem.

I suspect if the work had been done through an Apple store or Authorized Service Provider, you wouldn't have issues.
You're stuck with the phone as-is.
