Know that QuickTime for Windows is no longer officially supported, and its use is discouraged.

This looks like an issue with the installer itself.

What is the version of your QuickTime?

Know that Windows Vista and Windows 7 should match up with QuickTime 7.7.9.

Older version of Windows would go with an older version of QuickTime.

Newer versions of Windows may not be compatible with QuickTime and/or the installer.
