App is requesting My Apple ID & Password

Yellowstone GyPSy Guide Tour app has an update. When requesting update a box pops up that asks for my Apple ID & Password is this legitimate or a scam app.....none of my other apps have ever done this

If you are downloading the update from the App Store when you get this request, it is probably legitimate.
