How do I shut down programs on my MacBook Pro listed in Activity Monitor?

Why Activity Monitor?


Running applications in the back ground can be seen and quit (commnad Q) by the HUD (heads up display) using the command tab key combination Continue to hold the command key and tab your way through, then Q for quit.



Activity Monitor for all processes if you double click open the process, you have the option to quit.
