can't update applications in the app store

Why do I keep getting this message" To update this app, you need to accept it on the Account page in the App Store." when I try to update applications Numbers, Keynote and Pages?

Because they are free apps from Apple that come with a new Mac and they need to be accepted into the new owner's account before they can be updated.
