apple watch cellular issues
when my watch is away from my phone I get a red x at the top of my watch screen even though I have cellular active on my watch. I can't use it to text when away from my phone either.

A green phone icon will be displayed to indicate that the iPhone is turned on and connected to the Apple Watch. When the iPhone and cellular are turned off, a red Xicon will appear at the top of the clock screen. Disconnected will also display at the top of the Control Center. Mae sure your cellular icon is turned on on your watch. Sweep up on your watch face to expose the Control Panel and tap on the cellular icon.
