Auto Bcc through terminal command no longer works?

I need to auto-Bcc every email that goes out of my office. I had been using the terminal command way (via this article: https://www.lifewire.com/automatically-bcc-os-x-mail-1172861) but my emails are not being Bcc'd now. I can't remember if the break corresponded to a system update.

When I check in terminal with "defaults read com.apple.mail UserHeaders" it says:

{

Bcc = "XXX@XXX.com";

}

So I would assume that my outgoing emails should have the specified address in the Bcc field, however, when I check my sent mail through Apple mail the Bcc fields are empty. What am I doing wrong?

One way you can "automate" that is to use Keyboard Maestro. You can create a macro that is enabled with a single keystroke (one of the F keys) that will move the cursor to the BBC field and insert the email address of your choice.

It is an extremely powerful macro app that can help automate repetitive workflows.

Im not Bcc'ing myself, I'm Bcc'ing a contact management system we use so they log and record all of our emails. As far as I can tell, Apple mail only allows you to Bcc "myself" which is the email address you're sending from.

As easier as your solution makes Bcc'ing, the reason I liked the terminal-command way I was using was because it required nothing, not even pushing a button after it was set-up. This way there was no way someone could forget in my office to even push the macro key, it was all done automatically.
