I have a Mac Mini 2011, 2.3 ghz cpu, updated to High Sierra, put 8gigs of ramm in it. It came with 500 gig 5400 rpm HDD, it runs really good. I want to put a Terabyte SSD into it, will this model handle that size drive ?

You can install a third party 1TB SSD into this model without a problem.
Edit: It can probably handle a 2TB SSD, but I'm not sure if it will support any larger than 2TB.

I was hoping to keep it all on one drive, but I want the SSD for speed and will have to settle for a smaller ssd drive. I'll just have to use the old 500g drive for storage internal ( if there is room in the body ) or external if not. I bought this Mac Mini mostly for editing my video's.
I'll just clone the original drive to an SSD. And, store my junk on the old Hdd.
Video editing huh? Then consider a new Mini, video-editing is highlighted bold on its resume. Yes, more $$$, but better value when compared to breathing new storage into an obsolete model. All the best.
I'm just going to try to use Imovie to do light editing of video's. Cutting my mistakes out mostly.
I'll try a 500gig SSD , and I'v read that these 2011 mac mini's can be bumped up to 16 gig of ramm.
