Is this normal for my AirPods 2 Case?

Hi All - I have had the AirPods 2 for 2 months now but looking at pictures I am wondering if the hinge shown in the picture below is correct? It seems to bend back but looks normal however compared to other pictures I have seen it looks as if the case is supposed to stand even.

Is this normal? I baby this thing and clean it all the time.
