How to store passwords for apps iPhone 6sPlus

My iPhone was saving passwords for apps (not Safari websites). Now, it is not and for the life of me and an extensive internet search I have not found an answer. I have turned on Keychain in iCloud, also attempted to manually enter them in the Settings/Passwords & Accounts. My iCloud is full, however, it has been full before the iPhone started saving my passwords, then stopped. It used to prompt me, asking if I wanted to save the password. This means I go back to the little sheet of paper stuck in a hidden place in my wallet to know passwords for apps on the iPhone. NOT helpful when you need to do something quickly.

Can someone please give me some guidance? Thank you so much!

Have you checked Settings > Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords to see if iCloud Keychain (or another supported option such as 1Password which is what I use) is selected?

If iCloud Keychain is selected in that setting and it is not working, I suspect that it is related to your iCloud Storage even though it was previously working. I can't test that, both because I don't use iCloud Keychain for passwords and because my storage isn't full, so I could be wrong.
