MacBook Air keyboard not working properly

Hi. I tried to reset my keyboard. Using the below steps . The number keys still are not working.

would recommend resetting the SMC - it's detailed in

but the procedure for a MacBook Air is:

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
  3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
  4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
  5. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
  6. Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

Hey, Barnabyfamily.

It appears that the keyboard on your MacBook Air isn't working as it should. You've reset the System Management Controller (SMC) but the number pad still doesn't work. I'm glad to help.

If your Apple keyboard doesn't work -- This article provides the information and steps that you need. Scroll down to "Other keys" near the bottom of the article.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
