iPad. Bluetooth while usb-c connected to display

iPad 12.9 2018 model.

I connected iPad to a 40 inch monitor via USB-C to Display Port cable. Fine. I am trying to play audio via Bluetooth while doing this. No luck.

Bluetooth connection to Beats headphones drops as soon as USB-C cable is connected to iPad.

Is thus use case supported?

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi

Inability to choose audio output device The new iPad Pro running iPadOS 13.5 still cannot choose where to output the audio from! Problem to be expected: When connecting to a USB-C monitor without speakers (e.g. HP Z27, LG 27UD88), as we can't choose which device to output the sound, we can't hear anything. In contrast, we can select which device to output audio from a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (Android) or a laptop (either running Windows 10 or macOS).

Possibly not.

The Display cable/adapter usually carries the audio signsl from the source video, as well, and iPads cannot output multiple audio sources at the small time.

So, a Bluetooth audio connection may not be possible.
