I have now for the last 3 weeks been trying to empty the wastebasket - one file remains always (see screenshot). I have gone through Terminal, I have tried whether there were special privileges - with Mail open and Mail closed.
Any ideas?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Try holding alt key when emptying the Trash.

and that is it. Spotlight on TPZynvsf4PoFPH does not reveal anything ...
unfortunately does not work :-(
TPZynvsf4PoFPH is in use ....
and all the above folders ...
funny thing is that spotlight does not even find the file....
it's obviously more of an annoyance, but it IS and annoyance :-)
