How do I upgrade my iPhone Xs max to IOS 12.3.2 so I can restore backup from my iPhone 8 Plus which is IOS 12.3.2

Back it up to a computer, find the most-recent backup file, make a copy of it, open the original in a text editor, and change the 12.3.2 to 12.3.1. If you can't do this, wait for the next patch; iOS 12.3.2 is a bugfix not applicable to other models.
